Key words:
3.0T MRI Shielded Room Decoration
1. Construction Scope
The construction covers the overall shielding decoration project of the 3.0T MRI scanning room, equipment room and supporting auxiliary areas.
2. Main Construction Contents & Procedures
2.1 Core Electromagnetic Shielding Works
- Wall & Ceiling: 304 or 316 stainless steel plates are fully welded on six surfaces (walls, ceiling, floor) to form an integrated Faraday cage, with shielding effectiveness ≥90 dB to isolate external electromagnetic interference.
- Shielded Doors: Single or double-leaf stainless steel electromagnetic shielded doors are installed with premium conductive sealing strips to achieve gapless electromagnetic connection between door leaf and frame.
- Shielded Observation Window: Special stainless steel mesh shielded window is mounted at the observation position to guarantee distortion-free sight without compromising overall shielding performance.
- Pipeline Shielding Treatment: All penetrating pipelines (air conditioning ducts, fire protection pipes, power & signal cables) shall undergo strict shielding treatment via waveguide windows and waveguide vents to block signal leakage through pipeline openings.
2.2 Ionizing Radiation Protection Works
Based on environmental assessment requirements, lead sheets (≥2.0 mmPb) or alternative radiation shielding materials shall be installed on the inner or outer side of the electromagnetic shielding layer for walls, ceiling and floor to attenuate scattered stray radiation generated by MRI scanners.
2.3 Floor Works
- The floor bearing capacity shall meet the standard of ≥5 kN/㎡ as required by equipment specifications.
- Anti-static PVC flooring with thickness ≥2 mm is laid to avoid static accumulation that may damage precision MRI equipment.
2.4 Wall & Ceiling Finishing Works
Environment-friendly, easy-to-clean color-coated steel panels or aluminum composite panels are adopted for wall and ceiling decoration to maintain indoor cleanliness and aesthetic appearance.
2.5 Air Conditioning & Fresh Air System
- Precision constant temperature & humidity air conditioning system is equipped to control indoor temperature within 20–24 ℃ and relative humidity between 40%–60%, ensuring stable operation of MRI equipment.
- Independent fresh air supply system is configured to maintain clean indoor air and slight positive pressure to prevent outdoor dust infiltration.
2.6 Electrical & Lighting System
- Independent stable dedicated power supply with high-performance UPS uninterruptible power system is deployed to support safe equipment shutdown during power failure.
- Anti-glare, flicker-free LED purification lamps are installed to provide soft and sufficient indoor illumination.
2.7 Fire Protection & Security System
- Fire alarm and gas fire suppression systems compliant with medical building codes are installed.
- Supporting access control and monitoring security facilities are equipped on site.
