7T MRI Cyclotron Room

Key words:

7T MRI Cyclotron Room

1. Environmental Requirements

  • Magnetic Field Environment: Strict non-magnetic construction shall be implemented. All hardware and section materials adopt non-magnetic aluminum alloy and demagnetized 304 stainless steel to avoid magnetic field distortion caused by ferromagnetic materials.
  • Radiation Protection: Heavy-ion radiation shielding layers shall be constructed on walls, floors and ceilings to block high-energy rays generated by the cyclotron.
  • RF Shielding: A fully enclosed hexahedral copper RF shielding enclosure shall be built with shielding effectiveness ≥100 dB, which can resist external electromagnetic interference and guarantee the imaging quality of the 7T ultra-high field equipment.

2. Civil Engineering & Decoration

  • Floor: Double-layer moisture-proof structure plus shock-absorbing base to bear the heavy load of ultra-high field magnet and accelerator equipment.
  • Wall and Ceiling: Medical clean non-magnetic color steel plates with sealed dustproof structure, which meet the hospital infection control standards for nuclear medicine departments.
  • Auxiliary Facilities: Special shielding doors, shielding observation windows, waveguide ventilation windows and power filters shall be equipped. All pipelines shall be treated with shielding and sealing.

Application Fields

  • Department of Radiology:The Department of Radiology is a comprehensive department integrating imaging diagnosis and interventional therapy. Radiological diagnosis employs X-rays, gamma rays and other radiation to penetrate the human body, rendering images of internal bodily structures and organs on fluorescent screens or radiographic films, enabling evaluation of human anatomical morphology, physiological functions and pathological lesions.

  • Department of Radiation Oncology:Radiation oncology is a localized therapeutic modality that uses ionizing radiation for cancer treatment. Radiation sources include alpha, beta and gamma rays emitted from radioactive isotopes, as well as X-rays, electron beams, proton beams and other particle beams generated by various X-ray therapy units and medical accelerators.

  • Department of Nuclear Medicine:It adopts nuclear science technologies for disease diagnosis and treatment. As an integrated department combining imaging, therapeutic services, scientific research and teaching, it serves as one of the core modalities in modern medicine.
