Key words:

Iodine-131 medication window

Product Introduction

The Electric Iodine-131 Protection Window is a professional radiation shielding facility specially developed for nuclear medicine Iodine-131 diagnosis and treatment wards. It is mainly applied to isolated operation scenarios such as Iodine-131 oral administration, patient care and sample inspection, solving the radiation safety problem for medical staff working in radioactive environments.
The window adopts high-density lead shielding materials with excellent ray attenuation performance, which can effectively isolate scattered radiation generated by Iodine-131 radioactive sources and greatly reduce the occupational radiation dose of operators. Equipped with an intelligent electric drive system, it realizes automatic, stable and low-noise opening and closing, avoiding frequent manual contact and improving operational safety and efficiency.

Product Performance

  • Designed for matching use with Iodine‑131 shielding fume hood. After completion of radioactive iodine liquid dispensing, reagents are delivered to the iodine administration window via the motorized transfer port.
  • Adopts motor-driven push‑pull opening mode and seamlessly links to the PLC touch screen of dispensing hot cell for convenient open/close control by medical staff.
  • Corners adopt R15 rounded transition; smooth finish for easy cleaning; inner lining is mirror-polished 304 stainless steel.
  • Outer panel made of 2.0 mm thick 304 stainless steel with anti-fingerprint surface treatment.
  • Equipped with intercom system, radiation indicator light assembly, internal lighting system and disinfection sterilization unit.

Technical Parameters

Internal dimension of iodine administration window: 300mm × 400mm.
Lead equivalent shielding of motorized sliding protective door: 20 mmPb.

Application Fields

  • Department of Radiology:The Department of Radiology is a comprehensive department integrating imaging diagnosis and interventional therapy. Radiological diagnosis employs X-rays, gamma rays and other radiation to penetrate the human body, rendering images of internal bodily structures and organs on fluorescent screens or radiographic films, enabling evaluation of human anatomical morphology, physiological functions and pathological lesions.

  • Department of Radiation Oncology:Radiation oncology is a localized therapeutic modality that uses ionizing radiation for cancer treatment. Radiation sources include alpha, beta and gamma rays emitted from radioactive isotopes, as well as X-rays, electron beams, proton beams and other particle beams generated by various X-ray therapy units and medical accelerators.

  • Department of Nuclear Medicine:It adopts nuclear science technologies for disease diagnosis and treatment. As an integrated department combining imaging, therapeutic services, scientific research and teaching, it serves as one of the core modalities in modern medicine.
