Product Introduction

The lead shielding manhole cover is a dedicated radiation protection facility designed exclusively for nuclear medicine radioactive waste decay pools. It is applied to the shielding sealing of decay pool openings to isolate residual radiation from decaying radioactive wastewater and waste sources, effectively preventing ray leakage and reducing ambient radiation dose in the working area.
The product adopts high-purity lead shielding layer and integrated 304 stainless steel encapsulated structure, featuring reliable shielding performance, compression resistance and deformation resistance.
It is a necessary standard shielding accessory for safe operation and standardized management of radioactive waste decay pools.

Product Performance

  • The lead-protected manhole cover is made of 3mm thick carbon steel plate.
  • Lead manhole covers are suitable for protecting the inlet and outlet of wastewater in decay ponds.
  • The external dimensions can be customized according to requirements.
  • The protective equivalent varies from 5-30mmPb.
  • The design of the lock catch requires a lock to be opened.
  • Meet the requirements for use on asphalt pavement.

Application Fields

  • Department of Radiology:The Department of Radiology is a comprehensive department integrating imaging diagnosis and interventional therapy. Radiological diagnosis employs X-rays, gamma rays and other radiation to penetrate the human body, rendering images of internal bodily structures and organs on fluorescent screens or radiographic films, enabling evaluation of human anatomical morphology, physiological functions and pathological lesions.

  • Department of Radiation Oncology:Radiation oncology is a localized therapeutic modality that uses ionizing radiation for cancer treatment. Radiation sources include alpha, beta and gamma rays emitted from radioactive isotopes, as well as X-rays, electron beams, proton beams and other particle beams generated by various X-ray therapy units and medical accelerators.

  • Department of Nuclear Medicine:It adopts nuclear science technologies for disease diagnosis and treatment. As an integrated department combining imaging, therapeutic services, scientific research and teaching, it serves as one of the core modalities in modern medicine.
