Undertake DSA Operating Room Engineering
I. Mandatory Dimensions under National Standards (Full Compliance Required)
• DSA Operating Room ◦ Minimum usable area: ≥35 ㎡ ◦ Minimum side length: ≥5.0 m ◦ Indoor clear height: ≥3.0 m (≥3.3 m recommended)
• Control Room ◦ Area: ≥20 ㎡ ◦ Clear height: ≥2.8 m
• The dedicated load-bearing foundation, pre-embedded rails and cable trenches for equipment shall be positioned and constructed strictly in accordance with construction drawings provided by the equipment manufacturer.
• Reinforced concrete structure is preferred for the main enclosure walls of the room. Spliced lightweight partition walls are prohibited. The thickness of primary protective walls shall be no less than 370 mm, and secondary protective walls no less than 240 mm.
• Opening dimension for motorized airtight radiation-protective operating door: ≥1800 mm × ≥2100 mm
• Opening dimension for manual protective access door: ≥900 mm × ≥2100 mm
• Opening dimension for radiation shielding observation window: ≥1500 mm × ≥900 mm; the bottom of the window is 900 mm above finished floor. Dimmable radiation shielding lead glass is optional.
• Standardized ionizing radiation warning signs shall be affixed outside all protective doors. Radiation operation warning indicator lights shall be installed at the top of the room and activated synchronously during exposure.
II. Radiation Protection Construction Requirements
Ceiling construction options: ① Fully welded steel frame keel + flame-retardant base board + heavy-duty lead sheet ② Reinforced keel with lead-wood composite shielding panels ③ High-density barium sulfate shielding mortar fully coated on upper floor slab ④ Light-gauge steel keel fitted with prefabricated barium sulfate shielding panels
Wall construction options: ① Full wall plastering with high-density barium sulfate shielding mortar ② Steel frame keel embedded with national standard lead sheet shielding ③ Modular installation of barium sulfate shielding wall panels on keel framework ④ Prefabricated lead-wood composite shielding wall panels ⑤ Dual composite shielding: barium sulfate mortar base + lead sheet
Floor construction options: ① Full-surface high-density barium sulfate shielding layer on floor ② Overall shielding formed by laying national standard protective lead sheets on floor
• Lead equivalent specification: Primary beam walls ≥4.0 mmPb; scattered radiation zones including side walls, ceiling and floor ≥3.0 mmPb. (Applicable shielding materials: barium sulfate, lead sheet, lead-wood composite panel, barium sulfate board.)
• The lead equivalent of DSA dedicated protective airtight doors and operating observation windows shall uniformly reach ≥4.0 mmPb.
• Applicable shielding materials: Medical lead sheets, high-density barium sulfate aggregate/mortar, lead-wood composite panels, medical barium sulfate shielding boards.
• All wall-penetrating conduits, strong & weak current cable holes, reserved equipment duct grooves and gaps around central air conditioning vents inside the room shall be fully sealed with dedicated lead sheets to prevent radiation leakage.
• A door exposure interlock system is mandatory: the equipment cannot initiate exposure if the protective door is not fully closed. Emergency stop safety devices shall be equipped.
• Supporting requirements: The room shall be equipped with dedicated exhaust air purification system, constant temperature & humidity system and medical clean air handling system to meet operating room cleanliness classification standards.
